What the
work looks like.

Independent, fractional, and project-based engagements across three sectoral postures. Every engagement begins with listening, a needs assessment, and a written proposal — then implementation, evaluation, and reporting.

Disaster Risk Management Cycle_UNDRR

The Disaster Management Cycle is a continuous process that helps reduce disaster risks, protect lives, and build resilient communities. This cycle ensures that disaster management is proactive, coordinated, and evidence-based, enabling governments and communities to better prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters while minimizing future risks.

Hazard, Risk, and Vulnerability Analysis Framework

A meaningful Hazard, Risk, Vulnerability Assessment (HRVA) requires looking beyond the hazard itself. It requires understanding a community’s history, geography, demographics, economy, culture, and lived experiences.

This is why Climate Adaptation, Resilience, and Disaster Risk cannot be reduced to simple solutions or one-size-fits-all plans.

Nourishing resilience requires collaboration among multiple disciplines, emergency professionals, local organizations, and, of course, the populations this work serves.

An HRVA is not just a document. It is a living process that evolves as communities learn, adapt, strengthen their capacities, and develop strategies to reduce risk and better prepare for response and recovery.

Disaster Solutions starts with understanding people and places. This is modern day social work.

in the field.

Malawi · EW4All 2027

Last-Mile Implementation Roadmap

Commissioned 2,500-word strategic assignment for a Least Developed Country of 20M. Redirects investment from satellites to actionability — language access, governance reform, and integration of Traditional Ecological Knowledge with DELTA Resilience data.

Deliverable · National roadmap · last-mile infographic · 15% budget shift proposal

Shire Valley · G-DRSF

District-Level Resilience Data Protocol

Operationalizes the Inter-Agency Expert Group's standardized disaster statistics into impact-based forecast alerts. Bridges the National Statistical Office and National Disaster Management Office through a single coordination mechanism.

Deliverable · Exposure × vulnerability × coping protocol · IBF alert templates

Ukraine + Poland · Displacement

Protracted-Crisis Integration Strategy

Reframes 'safe return' around energy security, legal restitution, and psychosocial stability for 3.7M IDPs and 5.9M refugees. Quantifies the Poland integration case — 2.7% GDP contribution, 83% labor participation — to challenge the burden myth in donor conversations.

Deliverable · Sectoral brief · ReliefWeb monitoring cadence · integration KPI set

Philadelphia · SDG 11

Stakeholder Engagement Blueprint

Five-stakeholder municipal blueprint built on the UN DESA practical guide. Stages inform → consult → involve → collaborate across traditional and marginalized groups, with explicit strategies for participation barriers.

Deliverable · Engagement plan · power-map · participation-barrier mitigations

USA · Global Impact

Policy Suite — feasibility-lens critique & NGL brief

Two-part deliverable: a critique of an existing UN/EU/World Bank policy through the Political Will × Economic Logic × Implementation Infrastructure lens, paired with an original two-page brief targeting a named mission or partner with an explicit ask.

Deliverable · 1,000-word critique · 1,500-word policy brief · comparison table

WUF13 · World Cities Report 2026

Urban informality & retrofit response framework

Three-track response to WCR 2026: informality mapping & incremental upgrading (1B in informal settlements), low-carbon housing retrofit (buildings = 37% of global GHG), and a municipal eviction-prevention memo (64M evicted, 2003–2023).

Deliverable · Upgrading roadmap · retrofit briefing · municipal policy memo

C40 · 15-Minute City

Climate-resilient & inclusive urban design

Evaluates 15-Minute City form, transit-oriented density, nature-based public space, and tactical urbanism as paired emissions and equity levers — sized against heat-island and stormwater outcomes for the most exposed residents.

Deliverable · Design diagnostic · NbS palette · tactical-urbanism pilot brief

ISDRC Geneva · NGL Fellowship

Inner Development Goals coaching for leadership teams

Translates the IDG framework into team-level practice for organizations executing on SDG-scale mandates. Pairs personal-scaffolding work with strategic communication, adaptive leadership, and Goal-17 alliance design.

Deliverable · Team IDG diagnostic · leadership rituals · communication playbook

Operating principles

Adaptation is a balance-sheet intervention, not a project pipeline — it preserves value, reduces liabilities, and reshapes risk.

01

Listen first

Every engagement opens with structured listening before scope is written.

02

Triangulated evidence

Academic, grey, and field-based data must each be present in any recommendation.

03

Last-mile test

If the recipient of the alert, dollar, or policy cannot act on it, the design has failed.

04

Cultural integration

Traditional and indigenous knowledge are first-class inputs, not decoration.
